New non-invasive medical device which can measure the patient’s SpO2 and pulse rate with the finger
Easy to use
Small dimension, light in weight (total weight is about 50g including batteries) and convenient for portable use
Lower power consumption: originally equipped with 2 x AAA batteries which can last up to 30 hours
Low voltage warning will be indicated in visual window when battery is too low and normal application of the Oximeter might be influenced
Device will power off automatically after 8 seconds
The fingertip pulse oximeter contains a dual light source and photo detector. Bone, tissue, pigmentation and venous vessels normally absorb a constant amount of light over time. The arteriolar bed normally pulsates and absorbs variable amounts of light during systole and diastole as blood volume increases and decreases. The ratio of light absorbed at systole and diastole is translated into an oxygen saturation measurement. This measurement is referred to as SpO2.
