Mesitran Ointment Soft 15g (POM)

Mesitran Ointment is a formulation containing: honey, medical grade hypoallergenic lanolin (Medilan®), sunflower oil, cod liver oil, Calendula Officinalis, Aloe Barbadensis, vitamin C & E and zinc oxide.

When the ointment is in contact with the wound, fluid is drawn from the surrounding tissues through osmosis. By doing so, a moist wound healing environment is created. This environment stimulates the wound healing process: aids wound bed preparation by facilitating autolysis of necrotic and other devitalised material and promotes better epithelial cell migration.

Mesitran Ointment is also offered in a gentle reduced honey content version: Mesitran Ointment-S, for people with sensitive wounds.
